Like other professional HDV products from Sony, the HVR-A1E provides a ‘bridge’ between the worlds of HD and SD production, thanks to its ability to capture and playback in HDV, DVCAM and DV formats. Like the successful HVR-Z1E, the HVR-A1E incorporates features that have designed with professional users in mind, including:

Tele Macro – This feature enables users to capture a macro image from a distance. This is especially useful for shooting smaller moving objects, and it also provides the ability to make subjects more prominent against a backdrop and to suppress shadow projection.

The CC- 191 and the larger CC- 193 are compact, TST padded cases designed to hold a range of small digital camcorders: CC-191 fits Canon GL2/XM2, Panasonic DVC30, Sony PDX10 while the larger CC-193 will hold the new Sony HDV Z1 and FX1, PD170, Panasonic DVX100A etc. Additional accessories will fit in the remaining space, the additional long compartment or the full length external pocket. Internal dividers are included and if needed a Modi-Vers Kit is available. The CC-191 and 193 lid is secured by a wide “hook & loop” fastener and a side release buckle. This ENG set offers a great amount of flexibility for portable recording indoors or outdoors. Its SKP 100 G3 plug-on transmitter transforms XLR equipped devices (such as microphones and mixing consoles) into wireless devices by simply plugging the unit in. The bodypack transmitter, as well as the plug on, can by synced up to the receiver with the simple push of a button. A very small high-quality directional clip-on microphone completes this set.

The CRC-13 and CRC-14 Compact Rain Covers fit 35 mm cameras like the Digiflex, or medium format cameras with a digital back installed. In addition the CRC-13 fits the Canon XM2/GL2, Sony PDX-10, and similar camera models; the CRC-14 is tailored to fit the Sony PD170, JVC DV300, Panasonic DVX100A and similar. They allow you to continue shooting in harsh weather conditions: slip quickly over the camera and secure with the adjusters and pull-cords.
