XDCAM EX - New Generation Solid State Recording System
The PMW-EX1R is the successor to the multiple award-winning EX1 and further extends the capabilities of the XDCAM EX family with great new features such as DVCAM recording, Cache Recording, Picture Inversion and a host of additional refinements. The EX1R is the ideal solution for customers such as broadcasters, independent videographers and film makers who need exceptional HD picture quality and state-of-the-art workflow from a compact and affordable handheld camcorder.
Sony’s XDCAM EX professional product range is designed to exploit the ultimate high performance of SxS memory cards. It combines a proven, non-linear XDCAM workflow with the only Full HD resolution sensor system available in a compact camcorder. This advanced imaging system consists of three ½-inch type Exmor™ CMOS sensors, each with an effective pixel count of 1920x1080, to produce images in full HD resolution. In addition, there's a purpose-built Fujinon Professional HD 14x zoom lens and a unique dual focus ring mechanism.
The CC- 195 is compact, TST padded case designed to hold a range of small digital camcorders. C-195 fits up to JVC GY-HD100U, Canon XL HD1 & similar. Or Sony HDV Z1 and FX1, PD170, Panasonic DVX100A etc with mounted mabox. Additional accessories will fit in the remaining space, the additional long compartment or the full length external pocket. Internal dividers are included and if needed a Modi-Vers Kit are available. The CC-195 lid is secured by a wide “hook & loop” fastener and a side release buckle. One pull allows for a quick full opening of the parallel zipper set. BSS Shoulder Strap is included as well as a padded Mesh-Grip handle. The CC-195 features a reinforced modular bottom panel and a unique viewfinder and microphone circumferential protection in the form of a removable Reinforced Aluminum Frame (RAF).
Swit S-8U62 High Capacity Battery has been specifically designed for use with the Sony PMW-EX1. The battery fits into the EX1 body but is powered by a lead with pole jack connection which fits into the power DC connection on the rear of the camera. The lead is attached to the battery and neatly folds into a recess at the top of the battery.
Due to the unique way in which the Swit S-8U62 battery powers the PMW-EX1 through the DC input, the camera does not drain the battery when in the off position unlike the Sony BP-U series batteries.
The S-8U62 is a larger capacity battery than the Sony BP-U60, Swit have developed the battery with 63wh where as the BP-U60 is only 56wh. Not only does the battery feature a longer life but it also has a D-Tap power connector in the side of the battery which allows you to power the Swit S-2000 video light directly from the battery. The battery also features a LED indication on the top of the battery showing you the remaining life of the battery, this can be activated by a simple push button.
It has a four-level remaining power indicator, a 14.4V D-tap power socket, and 63Wh larger capacity.
The Swit battery can also be charged on the Sony BC-U1 charger which allows it to intergrate with the existing system. This versatile S-8U62 battery is another innovative power solution brought to you by Swit.

The 501HDV, 546GBK tripod kit takes it's inspiration from Manfrotto's top professional systems and features a fixed counterbalance for a typical weight of camera and accessories of 2.5kg (5.5lb) with independent fluid cartridges in order to ensure smoother movements for both Tilt and Pan axis. 501HDV - The 501HDV creates smooth movement through the specially teflon coated discs. 546GB - The is a two-stage, extremely rigid, stable tripod. The 546GB has a die cast aluminum crown with a built in 75mm bowl. The tripod's telescopic ground-level spreader helps set leg angles accurately. CRC-15 Compact Rain Cover is uniquely designed to fit the new Sony HDV camcorders; both the FX1 and the Z1E (Z1J / Z1U). Fabricated from waterproof material the cover features a crystal clear vinyl panel which allows control monitoring and also viewing of LCD screen at any angle. The cover slips quickly over the camcorder to protect it from sudden showers and is secured by Hook & Loop flaps and quick pull drawstrings. The CRC-15 is engineered for efficiency down to the smallest detail; two top openings allow the extraction of shoulder strap or wireless antenna, while a removable sleeve enables a variety of microphone configurations without compromising the high protection level of the cover. A hand sleeve is provided for manual use and can also be used to seal off a tripod connection when thus used. You can work with the LCD Monitor with the Rain Cover on. A sleeve can be attached along the bottom for ultra protection when hand held (will allow access for both hands) or on a tripod Flexible sleeve to fit any external mic. Can be removed and mic can be extracted while securing the Hook & Loop around it. Extra nylon sleeves that can be closed around and seal the lens/viewfinder/mic base for double protection. Front and back Hook & Loop “lip seal” openings allow for the extraction of shoulder strap, mini-light or wireless antenna.
