Pushing zoom range and focal length to new boundaries, the new standarddefinition A42x9.7 and A42x13.5 lenses are the perfect choice for applications that require lenses perfectly balanced for portability and performance.
At a weight from 5.1 kg, these lenses reach focal lengths of up to 1,140 mm using the built-in 2x extender. Measuring less than 340 mm long, the new A42x9.7 is even shorter than its predecessor, the A36x10.5. The A42x9.7 keeps its fast speed of F2 up to an impressive 23x zoom which makes it the ideal lens under varying or low light conditions.
High magnification of lenses naturally intensifies residual vibration caused by wind or structural vibration, etc. The new A42x lenses will be available with an optional built-in OS Tech image stabilization system, which minimises such unwanted vibration. Unprecedented ramping characteristics, the proprietary GO-Technology, internal focusing and of course DIGI POWER features like Zoom Limiter, Quick Zoom, One Shot Preset, Auto Cruising Zoom and fast, low back lash zoom servos round off the performance of the A42x9.7BERD.
