It is both camera operator and grip friendly, being virtually maintenance free (just keep it clean) and totally field adjustable with few basic tools: one 7/16" open wrench and a set of Allen wrenches. It can work upside-down for low-angle shots, can support more than one carriage at a time for A and B camera shots, and it has positive lock at 90 degrees when in use on most dollies (Chapman, Fisher, Panther, etc.). Each carriage can support up to 175lbs (80kg) - bracing of tracks might be necessary. The system uses proprietary wheels with ABEC5 stainless bearings with ceramic balls which make it very fast and extremely quiet.The Matthews-Slider comes in four basic sizes: 29", 35", 45" and 70" (74cm, 89cm,114cm and 178cm) and is also available in many custom lengths in 4.75" (12cm) increments between cross members up to 12' (366cm). Each foot/track adds approximately 3lbs (1.4kg). Fully factory assembled, the system will accept any gear head/fluid head/camera combination. For straight or curve track, steel, aluminum, or PVC pipe, simply remove the locking nut, self-contained wheel and tire from each axle and replace with Hot Button set and nut. Hot Buttons also make a perfect scooter dolly with just two axles and any size ordinary plywood. Combination Track/Stage Wheels #395001 are as simple to change as the Hot Buttons. These wheels have self-contained bearings designed to work on hard surfaces or 1-1/2' diameter straight track only.

Western Dolly - 395047 The Western Dolly is a larger, heavier duty platform than the Doorway, with a maximum capacity of 1200 Lbs. (544kg). The wider, longer platform provides an even smoother ride with its larger, wider tires and extended wheelbase. This dolly can be equipped with a turret as can the Doorway. The turret assembly allows for the mounting of two seats and a complete camera configuration support by a Mitchell Base. The Western Dolly's Pop-Off wheels allow quick removal and easy storage. The axle is integrated into the wheel assembly to prevent the axle from becoming separated from the wheel upon removal. The wheel base of both is 52" with an overall length of 76". The platform size is 48" wide by 66" long. Total weight capacity is 1200 Lbs. (544kg). Tire pressure - 16-22 Lbs. Whether used as an equipment transportation vehicle or as a camera platform, the Western Dolly provides reliable, heavy-duty, steady support at a reasonable price.
