DPA MMC4018VL (MMC4018 VL, MMC4018/VL, MMC4018.VL, MMC4018_VL) d:facto Linear Supercardioid Vocal Mic Capsule The d:facto MMC4018VL Linear Supercardioid Microphone Capsule for Vocal from DPA features an isolation-optimized polar pattern and is designed to augment the human vocal range. It can be used to capture speech and vocals in sound reinforcement applications such as for stage, recordings, and more. The capsule provides an applicable opening angle around the center axis comparable to a cardioid, which means that a pleasant tolerance around the center axis is obtained for the singer. In addition, the rear rejection is higher than other supercardioids, and the rear lobe opening is extremely uniform and controlled. You can combine the d:facto MMC4018VL Linear Supercardioid Microphone Capsule with any of the d:facto adapters for wireless systems or the d:facto handle for wired use (sold separately).

The mic features an integrated cable solution with either side (4006ES) or rear (4006ER) cable entry. These mics are particularly popular as A-B stereo or Decca Tree pairs in concert halls. This mic can be mounted, hung or concealed to create clean, transparent recordings. The SM4000 Suspension Mount is included in the package. This allows the mic to be hung from the ceiling to create precision spot-miking of orchestra sections or ambience atmosphere. The d:dicate™ 4006E Omnidirectional Microphone is ideal in theatres, opera houses, concert halls or houses of worship and for film applications, both in the studio and on location. These mics are also popular for ambience miking on soundstages, in sports stadiums and other environments where ambient sound needs to be recorded.   The microphone capsule The MMC4006 Omnidirectional Microphone Capsule offers total transparency in any recording situation. It picks up incredible detail and depth of sound. The definition of its high-frequency characteristics across a wide range of instruments is impressive. It offers natural sound, high sensitivity, low noise-floor and extremely linear frequency response from 10 to 20 kHz (±2 dB). A selection of accessories is available, including acoustic pressure equalizers, a nose cone and interchangeable protection grids. These accessories can acoustically transform the mic. By changing grids, it is possible to gain several unique frequency responses and directional characteristics from the mic.
