Its bright F1.4 maximum aperture makes it particularly suitable for low-light shooting and provides excellent control over depth of field for portrait, video and creative photography. The optical construction comprises 9 elements in 6 groups, including one glass aspherical element (ASP) and one hybrid aspherical element (H-ASP). This design helps minimise optical and colour aberrations while maintaining high resolution, contrast and image quality across the frame. Samyang's Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) is applied to optimise light transmission while helping to reduce flare and ghosting.
