It offers 2 main mounting possibilities: tabletop or ceiling, and is ideal for either. This particular model comes with the MicroDot, Passive, Unbalanced interface (Note: a DPA adapter will be needed to connect this to a wireless system - sold separately). This Microphone Base comes with an onboard shock mount system that provides very good suppression of unwanted handling noise from a table or the like. Hidden mounting holes below the top cover make it possible to permanently affix the unit to a flat surface for an exclusive appearance. The audio cables are an integral part of the Microphone Base unit. It's designed specifically to work with DPA's d:screet™ SC4098 Supercardioid Podium Microphone (sold separately). Recommended for use with microphones in these lengths: 6" (16cm), 11" (28cm), and 17" (43cm) (all mics sold separately). Longer goosenecks should be avoided.
