The lens mount includes contacts that support Cooke/i Technology, and lens information is recorded as metadata, frame by frame.  Lever Lock Type E-mount E-mount lenses can be fitted when the PL mount adapter is removed. E-mount (lever lock type) gives users the ability to change lenses by rotating the locking collar rather than the lens itself, which means that in most cases lens support rigs don’t need to be removed, saving time during a production. It uses the same technology as the BP-L60S but has a higher capacity of 83.5Wh.  The BP-L80S is ideal for use with the complete range of DVCAM, XDCAM, MPEG IMX, Digital Betacam and HDCAM camcorders, and can also be used with portable VTRs (such as the HDW-S280/1 and SRW-1) and battery powered picture monitors.  The BP-L and BP-GL series batteries share many operational characteristics. Both have been designed to be highly durable and reliable, making them suitable for the harshest environments encountered in the most demanding ENG and EFP applications.  There are, however, some differences in operational characteristics between the BP-L and BP-GL batteries, providing a choice of battery type depending upon the specific requirements of the user.   The BP-L80S is ideally suited to applications where the battery has to supply a high current (e.g. where the camcorder is being used with lights powered from the camcorder) and where cells are charged and then stored for a number of days before use.  The BP-GL95 is ideally suited to applications where a lower current is being supplied (e.g. where just the camcorder is being used), where the lightest possible battery is required and where there is a very quick turn around time between charging and use.
