Since we don't think it's fair that the IT industry burdened Pro A/V professionals with an all-too-typical 100 meter limit for digital media extension, Magenta engineered an HDMI video and audio extension kit that can send 1920x1200 resolution HDCP-protected video, embedded audio, two-way RS-232 and IR to a distance of 500 feet (152 meters), all on a single Cat6. While the HD-One Series is already known for its picture quality, ease-of-use and reliability, the HD-One DX500 goes a step further, boasting improved heat dissipation, lower power consumption and significantly better resistance to emissions. An external switch lets users easily select from the following IR operating modes: 36.7 kHz, 38.0 kHz or 56.8 kHz. The HD-One LX500 kit contains (1) transmitter, (1) receiver, (2) universal power supplies and (2) IR dongles.

HD-One LX is fully HDCP-compliant and capable of extending uncompressed 1080p video, audio, IR and bi-directional RS-232 to 328ft/100m, allowing commands and data to flow in both directions. The distance reach and use of inexpensive, easy to terminate UTP cable makes this product an obvious choice for HDMI extension, whether it's a Blu-Ray player, cable/set-top box or a PC with an HDMI/DVI output. Such distances are virtually impossible to replicate using specially constructed HDMI cables, which, even at short distances, deteriorate image quality, are extremely difficult to terminate in the field and carry a high cost factor. The HD-One LX delivers significant value and convenience for both commercial and residential applications.Kit includes two sets of IR emitter/receiver cables.
