The black 2028-B-SL1 Supercardioid Vocal Condenser Microphone Capsule with SL1 Adapter from DPA is designed for the unique challenges of live stage performances. It can be used when paired with a Shure, Sony, or Lectrosonics series transmitter and receiver (sold separately) to capture and deliver a transparent, natural audio for live stage, theater, and broadcast applications.

The 2028's supercardioid condenser capsule offers a flat off-axis response. This give the microphone a very high gain-before-feedback, and at the same time, makes it so much easier for sound engineers to handle bleed from other instruments at close proximity. The capsule is fixed in its position on top of the newly designed shockmount and can't be dismounted. The pop filter too is specific for the 2028 microphone.

In addition, on a live stage, the 2028 needs no (or very little) EQ to sound just like if you where standing next to the singer listening to their performance. This allows the singer to use their voice just as if no mic was present. Also, it allows sound engineers to spend their time shaping the sound experience rather than covering up due to artifacts. This makes the 2028 the perfect match for all types of live performances.
