Add this 40 x 40" Solid Floppy to your grip kit for easily rigged light control and cutting, with the option to open the flag into a large 40 x 80" black surface. Because Matthews has shaved 8" off of both the height and width of their traditional 4 x 4' floppy, this flag's compact size allows it to be transported in certain passenger vehicles without the need for a dedicated grip truck or cargo van.

Simply undo the hook-and-loop touch fasteners at the corners, and the top hinge Floppy "flops" opens to become a large 40 x 80" opaque flag that creates a tent-like structure. Its two sections are comprised of heavyweight commando cloth duvetyne for optimized blockage of incoming light transmissions. It is also an easy way to create negative fill on one side of the subject when your desired look requires a bit more contrast. Though its obvious application is shaping light to achieve a wide variety of looks from the same sources, it can also double as a sunshade while shooting on location or as a privacy screen in the studio. The frame is hollow steel tubing to cut down on weight, while the solid steel mounting rod can stand up to years of heavy use.
