The Canon CN-E 20mm T1.5 LF Cinema Prime Lens is a fixed focus manual focus lens that covers the Full Frame and Super 35 sensor formats. The lens offers a maximum aperture of T1.5, which is useful when shoot in low light situations or when you want to capture that aspect of extremely shallow depth of field. It has an 11-blade iris that provides round, fuzzy highlights for a natural-looking bokeh. The lens barrel has a gradual and uniform rotation of 300 ° from close focus to infinity, offering a high degree of precision and constant focus.
The lens is equipped with gears with standard cinematic lens and is designed to minimize breathing of the focus and also has an innovative glass construction that contrasts the expansion and contraction of the barrel to avoid marking discrepancies induced by the temperature. It is double-fired, with marks on both sides of the barrel. The rear marks are located on an inclined surface, making it readable on both sides of the camera. It also has a dust and water resistant housing to minimize maintenance during normal use.
Thanks to the use of anomalous dispersion glass, effective in reducing chromatic aberration, and large diameter aspherical lenses, this extraordinary 20mm Cine Prime offers high resolution 4K images over the entire frame.
