Too much light can be detrimental to any footage, whether you are shooting stills or video, so being able to limit the amount of light entering your lens is always a good idea. With matte boxes and lens hoods, you can do exactly that, and we have a great selection of both for you to choose from here at DigiBroadcast.
Matte boxes and lens hoods perform essentially the same function, blocking unwanted and excess light from the sun and other light sources entering your lens. Both mount onto the front of the camera lens; however matte boxes typically include adjustable fins – known as French flags – whereas lens hoods are tubes or rings.
