Sony 24-70mm FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM Lens for E-Mount

Sony SEL2470GM.SYX (SEL2470GM/SYX, SEL2470GM_SYX, SEL2470GM SYX) 24-70mm FE 24-70mm f2.8 GM Lens for E-Mount

The Sony 24-70mm GM lens provides a wide maximum aperture of f/2.8 throughout zoom range for great low light performance and pleasing bokeh. Optically it also includes an XA (Extreme Aspherical) lens element for stunning corner-to-corner resolution throughout the zoom range. To add to this, there is one ED and one Super ED (Extra Low Dispersion) lens element for controlling axial and lateral chromatic aberration as well as producing the best possible subjective resolution. Nano AR (anti-reflective) coating also ensures superb contrast and prevention of flare and ghosting.

A 9-blade circular aperture ensures soft bokeh even at small apertures, and the focusing mechanism uses a Direct Drive SSM (DDSSM) system for fast and quiet focusing for both stills and movies. This system also reduces spurious focus movements for the smoothest possible focus action.

Other features include a Zoom Lock to prevent unwanted zooming caused by lens barrel weight, ergonomic placement of AF/MF switch and focus lock button, and tough build quality with dust and moisture protection. Additionally there is a hood lock system with a manual release button.
