Sony SAL-85F28.AE 85mm F2.8 SAM Portrait Lens

Sony SAL-85F28.AE (SAL85F28, SAL-85F28, SAL85F28.AE, sal-85f28.ae) 85mm F2.8 SAM Portrait Lens

Light, compact, mid-range telephoto

Along with its versatile 85 mm focal length, this lens has a large F2.8 max. aperture enabling beautifully defocused backgrounds so you can make your subject "pop".

Smooth defocusing

Instead of a standard polygon-shaped lens aperture, this lens features a 7-blade circular aperture for more natural, rounded defocusing or ‘bokeh’.

Refined optical performance

Precision optical design minimises distortion and aberration, and ensures high contrast from the image centre all the way to the periphery.

Smooth, silent autofocus

Built into the lens, the Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) is significantly smoother and quieter than conventional camera-coupled autofocus drive systems.

Say goodbye to blur

Pair the lens with a camera by Sony featuring built-in SteadyShot™ image stabilisation and you’ll enjoy smooth, blur-free results when shooting handheld.
