Compact and lightweight, the DZOFilm VESPID 70mm T2.1 Lens is an excellent choice for independent filmmakers and high-end full-frame cinematography. Its 80mm front diameter ensures compatibility with nearly any cine-style matte box, making it ideal for use on drones, gimbals, handheld rigs, or run-and-gun setups. The lens comes with an interchangeable PL mount and an included EF mount, enabling its use on both modern and vintage cine cameras, while its full-frame coverage supports sensors with an image circle up to 46.5mm without vignetting.

A standout feature is its 16-blade iris—consistent throughout the VESPID prime series—which produces naturally rounded out-of-focus highlights and contributes to a pleasing bokeh effect. The focus ring rotates 270° for smooth, precise focus pulls, while the iris ring offers 58° of rotation. Both rings are equipped with cine-style gear rings, ensuring easy integration with follow focus units, lens motors, and other cine lens accessories.

Additionally, this 70mm lens delivers a full-frame image circle that yields a tighter shot when used on cameras with Super35 sensors. Built with durable metal construction to endure the rigors of daily production, its standard 80mm front diameter simplifies quick lens changes—no need to swap out antireflection donuts or adapters for your matte box. Plus, with a minimum focusing distance of 14.57 inches, you can easily capture close-up details of your subject.
