The award-winning Cooke S4 Prime Lenses were designed in collaboration with industry professionals to deliver outstanding performance. They are color-matched and compatible with Cooke's 18-100mm T3.0, 25-250mm T3.7, 15-40mm T2.0 CXX zoom lenses, and SK4 16mm lenses. These lenses provide exceptional optical and mechanical performance, controlling flare, distortion, veiling glare, and spherical aberrations even at full aperture. The cam-type focus mechanism ensures smooth adjustments, and the modular design makes maintenance and servicing easier.

Since February 2005, all S4 Prime lenses (and the CXX zoom lens) have been equipped with /i Technology. These S4/i lenses are compatible with all PL-mounted professional motion picture film and electronic cameras. The /i Technology offers cinematographers and camera operators essential data, including lens settings, focus distance, aperture, depth of field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, lens type, and focal length in both metric and imperial units. For zoom lenses, it also displays the zoom position.

65 Soft Effects Attachment

The 65 Soft Effects attachment is designed for the S4/i 65mm and 75mm lenses (with the Cooke 75mm adapter ring). Its design is inspired by Cooke's PS945 soft-focus lens for 4x5 large-format photography. The effect produced is high resolution with a beautiful glow in the highlights. It is subtle but more noticeable when shooting wide open at T2, gradually decreasing as you stop down (from T2 to T4 with the 65mm lens, and T2 to T5.6 with the 75mm lens).
