The Sony PDW-U2 is a compact, professional XDCAM Professional Disc drive designed for direct access to XDCAM media from a PC or Mac. It provides high-speed read/write access via USB 3.0 and supports a wide range of XDCAM recording formats, including XDCAM HD422, XDCAM HD, XDCAM SD, MPEG IMX and DVCAM. 

Ideal for broadcast, post-production, media archiving and professional video workflows, the PDW-U2 provides a convenient way to access, transfer and manage files stored on Sony Professional Disc media.

PFD128QLW — 128GB quad-layer write-once Professional Disc PFD50DLA — 50GB dual-layer Professional Disc PFD23A — 23GB single-layer Professional Disc

 At 50 Mbps XDCAM HD422, recording/playback capacity is approximately 95 minutes on PFD50DLA and 43 minutes on PFD23A. Sony specifies more than four hours of HD422 50 Mbps recording on the 128GB quad-layer media.
