The VW-HU1 Detachable Handle Unit is a top handle and mic input for the HC-X1500 camcorder. The unit features two 3-pin XLR audio inputs, a microphone holder, a start/stop record button, a zoom rocker, and a built-in LED light.

The VW-HU1 attaches to the top of the camera using its proprietary connector and it's secured by a thumbscrew. A mic holder on the top fits a standard shotgun mic for convenience.

Camera controls include a start/stop record button and zoom rocker, and a tally LED indicates when you are recording. The diffused LED light on the front of the unit allows you to illuminate your shot, and also provides dimming control.
