'Clockit' is a compact film 'clapperboard' slate, with a large, highly visible, timecode display built in. Lemo connector timecode input and output are provided for interface with audio and video systems. The timecode generator is extremely accurate, with under 1 frame per day drift at all frame rates, and can be jam-synched from an external source. A real-time clock is built in for initial setting at power up and a back-up battery allows the batteries to be changed without losing sync. A special dummy cell is provided so 'Clockit' may be powered by 9 rechargeable NiCad cells or 8 alkaline AA cells. Continuous timecode or received timecode is displayed when clapper is open, internal timecode when closed, with timecode at 'clap' held for 5 seconds and displayable for 2 minutes for logging.
