Digital audio processing for high sound quality

  • Sony's enhanced digital audio processing technology ensures high sound quality and better response performance to transient signals. A new [optional] digital audio interface enables direct digital sound recording with many professional Sony camcorders and cameras with Alpha interchangeable lenses via the MI shoe adapter (Multi Interface) SMAD-P5. The A / D and D / A conversion steps are bypassed to ensure excellent sound quality.

Seamless integration of camcorders

  • Integration with compatible * Sony camcorders (requires MI shoe adapter SMAD-P5) displays audio information such as RF level meter, audio mute status and transmitter low battery alarm in the camera's viewfinder. The SMAD-P5 transmits audio signals from the receiver to the camera without the need for a cable connection. The radio receiver can also be supplied with power via the camera. The synchronized switching on / off between the camera and receiver ensures more effective energy management.
