The Portkeys PL5 is a compact 5.4-inch on-camera monitor that also functions as a live-streaming capture card. Constructed from lightweight ABS and polycarbonate, it weighs just 154.5g (5.45oz) and measures 135.1 x 82.5 x 22mm—making it an ideal choice for portable shooting setups.

The PL5 features a 5.4-inch 10-bit (8+2 FRC) touchscreen display with a 1920 x 1152 resolution, 500 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a wide 178° viewing angle. Powered by the intuitive MOVNORM OS, it offers a full suite of professional monitoring tools, including:

3D LUT support with HDMI and USB-C output capabilities; custom LUTs can be loaded via the bottom USB-A port.

Advanced False Color with 13 presets, including ARRI False Color.

RGB and Luma Waveform/Histogram tools, plus adjustable Zebra settings.

Anamorphic de-squeeze options for standard (1.33x, 1.5x, 2.0x) and custom (0.25–4.0x) aspect ratios.

Stretch Leg tool for vertical shooting, with HDMI output compatibility.

On the left side, the PL5 includes a 4K DCI 30p HDMI input, 3.5mm headphone output, and 3.5mm mic input. On the right, you'll find HDMI and USB-C outputs (up to 1080p60). The USB-C port also serves as a video output for live streaming via OBS when connected to a computer.

As a true all-in-one device, it also offers:

A 360° color grading tool for selective hue and saturation adjustments.

The rear of the PL5 houses a built-in Sony NP-F battery plate. With only a 7W power draw, a small NP-F550 battery can run the monitor for over two hours. For extended use, it can also be powered via the USB-C port. A USB-A port at the bottom allows for firmware updates and LUT loading.

Mounting options include two 1/4”-20 threads with locating pins on the bottom and right sides—ideal for attaching to cameras, rigs, tripods, or gimbals.
