The professional photographer's telezoom lens.

The EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM is a professionally quality, fast-aperture telephoto zoom lens popular with wildlife and sports photographers, as well as those shooting weddings and portraiture.

A Zoom as Good as a Prime Lens

One of the finest telephoto zoom lenses in the EF range, offering optical performance comparable to a prime lens. Four UD-glass elements help correct chromatic aberrations, while multiple zoom groups and internal focusing deliver excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. The lens is also compatible with Canon Extender EF 1.4x and 2x.

Fast, Constant Maximum Aperture

The fast f/2.8 maximum aperture remains constant throughout the entire zoom range, making the lens well suited to shooting in low-light conditions. The wide aperture also provides excellent control over depth of field and background separation.

L-Series Quality

Part of Canon's professional L-series, this lens combines precision-designed EF optics with excellent handling and durability. Its construction is designed to provide reliable performance for demanding professional applications, with resistance to dust and moisture.

Ultrasonic Focusing

A ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) provides fast, accurate and near-silent autofocus. Excellent holding torque helps ensure precise focusing without overshooting. Full-time manual focus override is also available, allowing focus adjustments without leaving AF mode.

Super Spectra Coating

Canon's Super Spectra coatings help maintain accurate colour balance and improve contrast while reducing flare and ghosting caused by unwanted internal reflections.
