AG-CX20EJ Compact 4K 10bit 60p camcorder with IP connectivity

The Panasonic AG-CX20 and AG-CX18 camcorders combine advanced optical engineering with a compact, lightweight body for exceptional mobility and professional-grade image quality.

Precision Optics and Wide Zoom Range

Both models feature an integrated wide-angle zoom lens, delivering outstanding optical performance. The AG-CX20 offers a 25mm (35mm equivalent) wide-angle to an impressive 600mm telephoto range with 24x optical zoom. A 4-Drive Lens System independently controls each lens group for smooth, precise operation, while dual manual focus rings provide intuitive control.

Equipped with both optical and electronic image stabilisation, these camcorders compensate for unwanted movement across five axes—including rotational blur—ensuring steady shots even at extreme angles. Face Detection AF/AE technology enhances focus accuracy, stability, and tracking for subjects in both 4K and Full HD shooting modes.

IP-Based Streaming and Connectivity

Designed for the modern production environment, the AG-CX20 supports Full-HD live streaming via the next-generation SRT protocol (available via firmware update) and features simultaneous SDI/HDMI outputs. It also includes NDI® HX2 IP connectivity for seamless, low-latency streaming without external converters. Both the CX20 and CX18 support RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, and RTP protocols, allowing direct live streaming to platforms such as YouTube and other social channels.

Built for Professionals

Panasonic has refined these models based on direct feedback from industry professionals, enhancing usability and operational efficiency for field production.

Compact, Reliable, and Feature-Rich

An innovative heat-dissipation system allows for a slim, lightweight body without sacrificing reliability. The CX20 and CX18 come with the VW-HU1 handle unit, which includes dual XLR audio inputs, dedicated controls, and an integrated LED light for low-light shooting. Lens zoom can also be operated from the handle.

Supporting multiple recording formats and bit rates, both models deliver 10-bit 4:2:2 4K 60p output via HDMI when paired with an external recorder. They accommodate MOV, MP4, and AVCHD formats, while the CX20 additionally supports the professional P2 MXF workflow.
