Sony FS7: The Ideal Documentary Camera
The FS7 is the product of years of development by Sony. Over these years the brand has been locked into countless intense conversations and brainstorming sessions with documentary shooters, trying to put together all the pieces for the ultimate documentary camera.
The result? Well, with the Sony FS7 you will find a completely redesigned grip, optimised balance, an improved viewfinder and completely refined ergonomics. It doesn’t stop there though, as the camera also reflects the brand’s expertise in 4K and HD codecs, Super 35 sensors and memory recording, making this an optimum tool for shooting magazine shows, unscripted TV and more.
FS7 or FS7K
You can buy this camera in one of two ways, either as the FS7 which is just the camera alone or you can purchase it as the FS7K which comes with the Sony SELP28135G lens – the perfect partner in size weight and performance for the FS7.
If you do choose to buy just the FS7 though, then don’t worry as the camera’s E Mount system makes in incredibly easy to use cinema lenses and SLR lenses with third party adapters, as well as all of Sony’s E and A Mount lenses.
Go slow-motion with 180fps
The ability to shoot high frame rates lets you turn everyday actions in to elegant, slow-mo movements. With the FS7 you can enjoy shooting a maximum of 180 frames per second (fps) in glorious Full HD allowing you to reach 7.5x Super Slow Motion with projects playing at cinematic 24fps.
