The RP-DC80 it totally Intelligent (user friendly)  and self adapting power unit  that can be used in studio and on the field in many powering ways to give Constant Currency Power Supply to the following broadcast  products:

RedPro RP-DC80 can be used on all above mentioned products using different models of Extended Power Cables.

Comparing the new RP-DC80 to his antecedents RP-DC20 and RP-DC 50 the main difference between them is that RP-DC20 and DC50 are just the battery chargers the RP-DC80 is also the Constant Power Supply Unit.

The difference in the Constant Power and the Battery Charging mode is that in the constant power mode, RP-DC80 provides  a full power on the output with constant currency all the time and controls overpowering and currency overload.

But the Battery charging mode in RP-DC80 first measures the capacity of the battery and then starts with the charging mode. At the very beginning  the power is max 2.3A and as the charging continues, the currency power drops to 0.5A.

RedPro RP-DC80 controls the Charging Process all the time, monitors the state of the battery cells, and protects them from overcharging, overheating and overloading.

To minimaze the Human error in the process, we’ve made the RP-DC80 totally intelligent so there is no way a one can control the charging or the powering mode of the unit.

The only way to do it is to use appropriate Extended Power Cable and the RP-DC80 will make his function.

POWER MODE on the LCD screen is RED

Power supply is ON

RED = HOT – displaying the output charging voltage on the LCD screen.

POWER MODE on the LCD screen is BLUE

BLUE = COLD

When the Battery is fully charged it will become Blue which indicates that the charging process is finished and battery is ready to use.

The RP-DC80 automatically recognises the power, voltage and the currency on the output, depending on which extension power cable you use.

The choice of power cables depends on the purpouse customer needs, charging or powering.

The RP-DC80 cannot run the POWER mode and the CHARGING mode at the same time, since it has only one output. To use it, you need to connect the Extending power cable, and according to the Power Cable type that mode the will be provided.

The USB output can be used at any time, it is independent 5V 2.1 A output.

With Charger Extension Adaptor Cables (need to order separately ) you can power or charge many different electronic units or batteries.
