First impression on CameTV Optimus Gimbal

Very lightweight with handles designed to fit the hand perfectly. The battery is set outside of the handle which makes it easy to take off and change with another battery if required for long shoots (second battery also included in the kit).

Batteries also have indicators showing their life span for simple monitoring the remaining charge level to prevent unpleasant surprises of power cuts.

Features memory card slot, USB slot and motors turning 360 degrees without limitations (perfect for running shoots).

How to make the gimbal work?

Before mounting the camera on Optimus and switching the power on, a good idea is to put a memory card and the battery in the camera first because if we do it after mounting it will affect the balancing procedure.

Assembling the plate on the camera with the help of appropriate screws makes it easy to position all together with the gimbal body. The gimbal motor needs to be allocated on the left side after mounting the camera.

With the help of red knobs we can adjust the camera in the central position.

Side to side balance

Starting from the sides (red side knobs) of the camera then pointing the lens upwards (to balance back and forward) we end up adjusting YAW of the gimbal (red knob placed below the battery) by sliding YAW bar back and forward. This will take no more then 10 minutes.

The camera is now stabilised. Turn the power on and enjoy nice and smooth movements, play with completely inverted or underslung features and create awesome footages.
